Two big names, two impressive debuts in the Premier League for Manchester City anchorman Rodri, and Tottenham Hotspur maestro Tanguy Ndombele.
Rodri was impressive, as reigning champions Manchester City cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win at West Ham United to start their title defence.
Ndombele, on the other hand, scored the first goal of the season for Spurs as they came back to beat new boys Aston Villa 3-1 in front of the home fans.
Two midfielders with different roles, Rodri seamlessly slotted into the defensive midfield role usually occupied by Fernandinho. He won 100% of his aerial duels, rarely gave the ball away with a 92% pass accuracy, had 6 ball recoveries completed
3/3 take-ons and 3 tackles while smartly breaking up the play with 3 fouls.
Asides finding the back of the net, Ndombele was dominant across all sections, recovery, passing and tactical gave his teammates outlets in transition.
