After Community Shield victory, Can City sweep all the domestic trophies again?

Roses are red, violets are blue and Manchester City have once again won the Community Shield after defeating Liverpool in a penalty shootout. The feeling is all too familiar, Manchester City starts the season with a trophy and end the season with a trophy or trophies.
Last year they called themselves the 'fourmidables after a complete sweep of all the domestic trophies in England, their only set back was turned in the Champions League. No one is perfect but Pep Guardiola is close to it. The details in which he sides play in is there for all to see. He has once again instilled a winning mentality in these bunch and despite a dominant display by Liverpool, the result seemed inevitable. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal have all strengthened well but can they accumulate enough points to beat Manchester City? Another start to the season with a predictable outcome, can anyone stop Manchester City from another trophy sweep? Join the conversation

No, Manchester City cannot sweep all the domestic trophies again because this time around, many teams will be prepared for them and most of the EPL clubs have invested very well in their squads. Secondly, Pep Guardiola wants to win the Champions League at all costs which means the Citizens will focus much more on their European campaign. However, I see City winning a domestic title.

I can’t say for now. Let’s wait till the season gets to the midway. Others clubs have also strengthened their squad in one or the other.

It’s not going to be easy with Liverpool desperate to clinch the EPL and others to show that their Champions League success last season was no fluke. It’s going to be an interesting battle between Liverpool and Manchester City on all front.
